Planet of the Apes. The original movie with Charlton Heston opened in theatres in 1968. Astronaut George Taylor crash lands on a desolate planet after a long space voyage. Taylor and his crew discover a society where intelligent apes dominate and humans are primitive and mute. Captured by the apes, Taylor struggles to prove his intelligence and humanity.
