Begin your journey of starting composting by joining us for this workshop facilitated by Sunshine Community Compost! Families are invited to learn all about this process of turning organic matter—such as food scraps and leaves—into rich soil to benefit the natural environment. All ages welcome!
Participants will be entered into a raffle at the end of the summer for their own compost bin to help them get started!
Sunshine Community Compost is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization working to transform hearts, minds and food scraps through the practice and principles of composting. Their work focuses on collaborating with communities to shift cultural practices related to resource management away from waste generation and towards resource creation, using regenerative and sustainable approaches.
