Program Description

Details

All ages are invited to the library's early celebration of Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration honoring the official end of slavery in the United States. Remember and reaffirm our shared commitment to freedom, progress, and hope, while enjoying free entertainment from a live DJ, lawn games, and a drop-in hula hooping class for all abilities. Then enjoy a free meal from the Newtown Farmer's Market (limit of 40 participants), and a snow cone.

In case of rain, festivities will be moved inside.
