Program Description
Japan stands as a fascinating mixture of advanced technology and timeless commitment to tradition. While greater Tōkyō is the most populated metropolitan area in the world, it is easy to navigate and has many green spaces and gardens throughout the city. There were ancient shrines and temples and cutting edge technology. Japanese people celebrate the cherry blossoms in formal kimonos. Mt. Fuji is a beautiful volcano that symbolizes the Japanese view of nature and epitomizes their culture as the mountain is an 'object of worship' and a 'source of artistic inspiration.' The villages in the mountains of the Kii peninsula were a glimpse into the ancient customs and the beauty of the countryside.
