Program Description
Snakes come in many sizes and colors! Join a UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County educator for some family-friendly fun to learn all about Florida's fascinating serpent species, why snakes come in so many different colors, and how their colors and patterns can help you to identify them.
Through a brief, interactive presentation and fun, engaging activities and art projects, families will learn about snakes’ special superpowers, how to identify some common snake species and distinguish between venomous and non-venomous species, and understand why snakes are so important in a healthy ecosystem.
We hope that learning about snakes' cool adaptations and behaviors will help you appreciate these infamous creatures!
