Join nationally recognized shark tooth and shelling expert Dr. Ashley Oliphant for this interactive lecture. Oliphant is the author of "Shark Tooth Hunting on the Carolina Coast," the definitive guide to hunting shark teeth in America that has sold more than 20,000 copies. Most expert fossil and seashell hunters hold their secrets very close to the vest, but Dr. Oliphant will share all that she knows transparently, including specific hunting locations and strategies for finding even the rarest fossils and seashells, both in Florida and elsewhere on the Eastern Seaboard. Participants will learn where to hunt, how to hunt, and how to identify species. The session is suited for fossil collectors whether they are experienced or new to the hobby. After the talk she will be available to sign her books, take questions from the audience, and open her pop-up fossil shop, which includes very exciting fossils and seashells collected during her excursions, including megalodon and great white shark teeth. If you already own a copy of her book, please bring it to the session because she will be delighted to sign it. Dr. Oliphant is a very engaging teacher and this session is guaranteed to be a lot of fun, so register now before spaces fill!
