Join us as Prof. Frank Cassell presents this 3-part series focusing on Bertha Palmer and her influence.

Dr. Cassell is Professor Emeritus and President Emeritus at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. He has published books on Bertha Palmer in Florida, and on the creation of Sarasota County.

After Bertha Palmer's death, her brother, two sons, and her niece’s husband, a Russian Prince, ably managed the empire she established.They played a big role in the creation of Sarasota County in 1921.
