Join us as Prof. Frank Cassell presents this 3-part series focusing on Bertha Palmer and her influence.

Dr. Cassell is Professor Emeritus and President Emeritus at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. He has published books on Bertha Palmer in Florida, and on the creation of Sarasota County.

When Mrs. Potter Palmer of Chicago, wealthy and internationally acclaimed, stepped off the train into the Florida wilderness in 1910, she could not have known that she and her talented family were about to begin a relationship with the Sarasota area that would last seven decades.
