Benjamin Thompson was born a poor colonial Massachusetts farm boy. He had a remarkable life which included being a Loyalist spy and soldier, an important scientist and inventor, the head of the Bavarian Army, and the co-founder of the Royal Institution. He also became a count of the Holy Roman Empire. Please join History Club speaker Howard Cohen for an overview of Count Rumford's life and accomplishments.
