Details

The swinging metal bridge carrying Blackburn Point Road from the mainland to Casey Key across the Intracoastal Waterway is one of the last of its kind operating in Florida. It’s on the National Register of Historic Places, and for good reason—it has been in service for nearly 100 years!

Join Sarasota County History Center manager Dr. Josh Goodman for a closer look at the history of this fascinating local landmark.
