Program Description
Cattle ranching has a long history in Florida, from the first animals brought by the Spanish in the 16th century to "Cowkeeper" and the Seminoles to the "cracker cowboys" and "cow cavalry" of the 19th century. Join Charlotte County Historian Dr. Jennifer Zoebelein for a brief overview of this important industry and its continued significance today.
