About this Lecture
Jesse and Rebecca Knight, along with their adult children, moved to the Nokomis area in 1868. As the second settlers in the region, and with intermarriages, they still maintain close connections to what is now Sarasota County. Join Peg Kapustiak for an exciting exploration of their family history, many accomplishments and legacy in our area, as well as learn how you also can be part of that legacy.
About this Series
This lecture is a part of the Sarasota County History Center's Spring 2026 Florida History Lecture Series "Building Florida", which explores how places, communities, industries, and cultural traditions were built over time.
