Program Description

Details

The Suncoast region lost unprecedented amounts of trees due to Hurricane Ian. As we replant our urban and residential properties let us be mindful of what we plant. Avoid nuisance invasives and focus on Florida-Friendly trees. Join this class to learn about the trees that thrive in our Suncoast region; with an emphasis on native trees, flowering Florida-Friendly trees, and edible fruit/nut trees. Find out which tree is right for your location, how to plant it, and how to care for it.

*Upon completion of the hour-long presentation, participants will receive a native tree sapling for your landscape.

*To reserve your tree please email Forest Hecker at fhecker@scgov.net pledging that you will attend the class and pickup the native sapling the day of the class.*
