We'll be celebrating Sarasota County's Centennial and the diverse cultural heritage of Sarasota County's citizens with eggs, eggs, eggs! With residents from around the world, Sarasota is home to many interesting traditions, and egg decorating is no egg-ception.

Festivities include:

  • Egg-citing egg scavenger hunt
  • Egg-sploration of four different egg decorating traditions:
    • Cascarones from Mexico
    • Cháyè dàn from China
    • Fabergé from Russia
    • Pysanky from the Ukraine
  • Egg decorating craft and activities

The children's librarians will be on hand to give scavenger hunt hints and egg-splain how the different styles of eggs are made. You won't want to miss this egg-stremely egg-cellent event!

Families with children of all ages are welcome. No registration is needed.
