Learn best practices for developing shared edible gardens and composting in your community.

Many local neighborhoods, homeowner and condo associations, and schools want to implement a garden project, but aren't sure of how to get started. Attendees will learn the basics of starting a community edible garden and composting program. They will discover the benefits of composting, and how to build a compost system.

UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County provides practical education you can trust, to help people, businesses and communities solve problems, develop skills and build a better future. This is a partnership between the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS), the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Sarasota County.
