Please join guest speaker Lionel Olmer of The History Club for a presentation about Ernest Shackleton and the historic Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition of 1914-1917. Olmer's 45-minute lecture will be accompanied by visuals of a trip Antarctic he made, covering part of the Endurance's route. The attempt to reach the South Pole was a failure, but it was remarkable in many ways, including the fact that the entire crew returned to England despite unimaginable hardships.
