Program Description

Details

This hour and a half workshop is an experiential exploration of our relationship with the food we eat. Nearly everything we eat is living or comes from a living thing. Using art, the experience of eating, and intention about what and why we eat, we will try to approach food from another perspective. Adult (type 2) diabetes is a combination of the effects of food and stress, and food is too often a source of our stress. This is not just for diabetics, but for anyone who wants to reconsider this most important of human activities.

Mike Weddle is Director of Wellness for the Multicultural Health Institute. Mike has an MD from the University of Miami and a PhD in the neurosciences. He is certified in Mind-Body Medicine and brought self-care  and mind-body groups into schools, prisons, and senior programs in gyms and libraries including the practice of mindful eating.

Registration recommended.
