Hooray! Your first book is published! Once the excitement has died down a little (just a little), what’s your next move? Do you…sit on your hands? Do you…wait for a call from Oprah? No! You write another book!  Congratulations! You’ve begun to create a body of work! So, how do you navigate the winding path between your first book and your second (or twenty-second!) book?

Celebrated cellist, political activist, and two-time novelist Lucia Barrett will discuss her process and priorities during this lively, fast-paced presentation. Lucia will be joined by her editor, Liz Coursen, and together they will share practical tips and effective strategies for active authors who want to create their own body of work. Part of the Gulf Gate Library’s Local Authors Series, “Creating a Body of Work: One Author’s Experience” will motivate and guide experienced and aspiring authors alike!
