Join Friends of the Selby Public Library for a lively discussion. This month:

Dr. Ed Dwyer will discuss Doris Kearn Goodwin’s best-selling book, “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln.”

Dr. Dwyer is a self-described “Lincoln Lover” and fan of Doris Kearn Goodwin, who won the Pulitzer Prize for her book “No Ordinary Time.”

Dr. Dwyer is a West Point graduate who served five years as an Airborne Ranger Infantryman. He earned his M.A. from Villanova and Ph.D. in English from Temple and taught for 25 years. As President of Ed Dwyer Seminars, he’s consulted for worldwide corporations, government, and military organizations.

Additionally, Dr. Dwyer has written three books, including, “Lincoln, Kennedy and King: Their Great Speeches and Writings.” With decades of knowledge and a sense of humor to boot, his discussion promises to be informative and entertaining. Join us April 13 to discover a Lincoln you did not know.

Just FYI: “Team of Rivals” didn’t win the Pulitzer but is the book that the movie “Lincoln” was based upon.
