Program Description

Details

Over the past 30 years, research has linked moderate and severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) to a greater risk of developing Alzheimer's disease or another dementia, years after the original head injury. Join us to learn about TBI. We’ll talk about some of the biological and structural changes that occur, as well as the implications on long-term cognitive and behavioral health. We’ll also hear from dementia specialist and educator, Louise Gallagher, to gain insight on the latest evidence-based lifestyle factors that can help reduce your risk for dementia. Bring your questions and join us!

With special guests:
• Andrew Keegan, MD
Board Certified Neurologist; Clinical Medical Director of Roskamp Institute Neurology Clinic; Principal Investigator of multiple clinical trials.
• Louise Gallagher, MS, LMFT, CDP
Life Coach and Educator; Certified Dementia Practitioner; Alzheimer’s Association Community Educator
