Join us for an afternoon of African dance and storytelling in celebration of One Book One Community and Black History Month!

African dance and music has been used for centuries for rites of passage, prayer, celebration, and storytelling. These stories and dances tell about what life was like in the days of yore.

African dancers and drummers will take you on a storytelling musical tour of Africa with stops in Senegal, Ghana, South Africa, Liberia, Nigeria and Cameroon.

This is part of our One Book One Community program, whose selection for 2022 is “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind” by William Kamkwamba.
